Zombicide: Black Plague - Abominotaur

I'm happy with this guy. I did him all on my own and surprised the crew at Guillotine Games with him and they liked him enough to include him as a stretch goal for their Kickstarter. Originally I had been considering doing a giant or ogre but I thought that it wouldn't be that much fun since it would just look like a normal Abomination just bigger. I began thinking what could be giant sized and a total terror on the board and I came up with Minotaur. So, if you are playing the game and this thing stomps all over your character it's totally my fault.

Again, I am pleased and excited to be able to include the art by Edouard Guiton for this, since this figure was done on my own initiative it's a real thrill to have something like this happen where I get to have his art done of my figure, kind of a bizarre chain of events but very cool for me!

Oh yeah, he's totally massive too, the biggest Abomination to date, (that,s a normal Abomination in his hand in the last picture! Mua-ha-ha-ha!)

Edit: A bit of trivia for those of you who visit this entry, all of you have made this character THE most visited figure in my entire blog! For the longest time the Dire Troll Mauler was the most visited entry but in a mere months time the Abominotaur beat out the Mauler which took 5 years worth of accumulated hits. I guess people like the Abominotaur?

Zombicide: Black Plague - Wolf-Bomination

I was asked to do this guy on my own, no art provided. The only request was to raise one arm as if to swat someone and to make it cast-able as one piece. Now, here is a total geek-out for me; normally I work from concept art already done and provided and lately I've been working off of Edouard Guiton's art and I've been a fan of his since the Rakham days so it's kind of a big deal for me to get to do that. But this? Edouard has made a picture based off of my sculpt so excuse my while a twitch with pleasure. The crew over at Guillotine Games allowed me to post the art here...

Blood Rage: Fenrir

Whooo! The last days of the Blood rage kickstarter I got contacted to do Fenrir, how awesome! I mean, I got to sculpt the beast that eats gods, how cool is that?
I added some stuff of my own to the base to try and add a bit of grandeur and capture some of the backgrounf in Mr. Smith's artwork, I had Fenrir perched upon a toppled odalisque that had the Valknut symbol on it. My cursory investigation made this seem like an ominous object to have fallen since the sign is associated with both fallen warriors and Odin himself. I also added the arm of slain warrior sticking out from underneath the stone maybe hinting at it falling on someone.
I had some problems with the chain Gleipnir as in mythology it was supposed to be amazingly thin yet unbreakable. Unfortunately a detail that small might get lost in the casting process. I tried sculpting smaller links but the detail began to blur with the fur and ended up looking more like creases in the skin rather then a foreign object so I ended up opting for larger links that would show up more on the figure. Sorry.

Blood Rage: Sea Serpent

I think this was the third monster I did for Blood Rage and upon seeing the art it was my first big clue that this was not a scale driven game, rather a something more like Risk then a wargame. The trick with this guy was all the tendrils waving around his head. These figures were to be as few parts possible to cut down on production cost (and cost of the game for customer) as well as assembling the figure afterwards so I had to do my best on-the-fly engineering to make it look as dynamic as the art yet have as few parts to produce.
